Isabella & Marcus Foundation Car Show: Classic Restos - Series 37

By Shannons - Published on 26 April 2018

Now in its 8th year, the Isabella & Marcus Foundation Car Show is organised not by a car club, but by parents who have lost their children to brain cancer, with all money raised going towards research to make brain cancer a curable disease.

The motoring enthusiast community always rallies for a good cause and come out in vast numbers to support this event. Fletch joins the crowds and hunts out some cars and talks with their owners about the origins of their vehicles.

Natalie with her 1966 VW Beetle called 'Bertie' purchased fully restored and still in beautiful condition today, along with a couple of modifications.

Ian with a big 1964 Chevy Impala, a four-door pillarless sedan the result of a 12-year restoration project and as Fletch says 'as close to a convertible as you can get'.

Then Lino with a 1962 Tank Fairlane that was left to him in a will and not particularly keen on at the time, but has become very attached to after endless hours and dollars on restoring it.

Keen supporters of the event each year is the Aussie Torana Legends Social Cruisers Club out in force with 21 Toranas on display. Captain Col talks with fletch about keeping these Aussie Legends of the 60's, 70's and 80' alive.

Sebastian with a beautiful example of a  rare 1968 Ford Cougar XR7 in original condition, this model was positioned in the Ford model range between the Mustang and Thunderbird at the time.
