The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Raises Over $3.6 Million
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Founder, Mark Hawwa - "This year was a strange one. We took an event that was driven by community engagement and connectedness, and reformed it to make it work in this crazy COVID world! Not knowing what to expect, we gave it our all and brought the global DGR community together at a distance for DGR 2020. With over 55,000 participants raising over $3.6 million AUD, the socially-distanced DGR proved a huge success. Riders across Australia were encouraged to connect digitally by joining Team Shannons on the DGR website, to help bring classic and vintage enthusiasts together around the country. The team did amazingly, ending up at 7th place globally. With the huge support we've had this year, we have no doubt that 2021 will be our biggest year yet as we celebrate 10 years of DGR! We can't wait for it, and we're excited to be able to share that with the team at Shannons!"
