I will never forget Jim's black (and Gold logos) 'Beemer'.
When I took my young son (aged 4) to Lakeside (Qld) for his first taste of motor racing, the first car, and only car on the track doing a test lap, was Jim Richards, coming round the Eastern Loop and into the Straight and flying past my son and I with some decent revs. I was holding my son so he could see better, and I felt him suck in a breath.
It was incredibly quick, especially for the time,
and JR doesn't muck around when it comes to lap times !
I miss the TCM racing where Jim was nearly always at the pointy end ! Thanks Clay and JR.
