Melbourne-Made | DRIVEN | Ep 44

Craig Phinn arrived in Melbourne from the UK with a degree in sports science under his arm and a passion for gyms and cars. Immediately, he recognised several gaps in the market, which he turned into a number of business opportunities. Fifteen years later, his prestige vehicle storage company, The Valet, now holds around 150 high-end and collectible supercars, and his love for automobiles has also extended to championing the return of the Melbourne International Motor Show.

Among his personal collection is a 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II—the last of the legendary R34 GT-Rs. With its 2.6L twin-turbo inline-six, a six-speed manual, and a host of Nismo upgrades, this special edition icon represents the pinnacle of Japanese performance engineering. Craig describes the car as “rolling art”.
