We look at Nez’s current cars, a 1970 XW 351 GT Falcon and a 1971 XY Fairmont. Nez protests these cars are not in Concours condition, but Fletch begs to differ. He calls them Tango and Snowy for apparent reasons.
Nez selects his cars carefully and then goes the extra mile to detail them fastidiously to the original condition, even down to the factory markings. When it comes to the engine and drivetrain, Nez’s drag racing background comes to the fore, and the XY Fairmont is a perfect example. The previous owner, also a drag racing fan, had done all the hard work and engineered the car for a big block engine, which Nez chose to replace with a smaller big block engine. A 460, so there is more than enough grunt under the bonnet if you ever need it.
These are two beautifully presented cars by someone with an eye for detail.
