Hershey Pennsylvania Swap Meet: Classic Restos - Series 39

Fletch travels to Hershey in Pennsylvania for one of the biggest and most famous swap meets in the world, hosted by the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), just known as 'Hershey'.
Eighty-five acres of cars and parts with 9,000 vendors offering all manner of automotive goods, from new to used parts, rusted sheet metal, memorabilia and petrol related merchandise.
As a preview of the classic car show that is part of the Hershey Swap Meet Fletch reveals a vehicle that is quite unique. A 1938 Vagabond, which comprises of a Reo Tractor and Curtiss Aerocar, that is reported as the only remaining one in this configuration.
The Reo Tractor is a sleek and aerodynamic modern cab forward design, reportedly designed by Harold H. Robinson. The Aerocar is fitted with a deluxe cupola that allowed passengers a commanding view of the road. It features an intercom for communicating with the driver, rearview mirrors, windshield wipers, a speedometer and a compass. The Aerocar was named the “Vagabond” by Eaton and is equipped with: air conditioning, a restroom, and kitchen. All this back in 1938.
Fletch trawls the aisles of this massive four day Hershey Swap Meet and talks with the vendors who are selling everything from shock absorbers, crank handles, to complete cars bodies, doors and panels. As the saying goes 'one man's junk is another man's treasure' and it applies in spades here at Hershey.
