Andy Roberts 4th Annual VW Family Picnic Day: Classic Restos Series 34

At a private residence in Seaham, just north of Newcastle is reportedly the biggest private car event in Australia. The founder is local businessman, and community minded VW enthusiast - Andy Roberts. The event is the Annual VW Family Picnic Day for VW owners and now in its 4th year, with an impressive line-up of 100 VW's.
Fletch speaks with owners and gets an insight into what is so special about VW's, frequently referred to as 'The People's Car'. Apart from Andy Roberts own VW collection of 8 Beetles and 4 Kombis, there are some beautifully presented vehicles including VW Beetles from '56, '63, '65 and '69. Plus a 1965 Kombi Single Cab converted into a mobile coffee shop 'Cafe 53'.
A great effort by Andy Roberts to create this family fun day to celebrate everything Volkswagen with family and friends and raising money for the local Autistic Centres in his community.
