2016 Isabella & Marcus Charity Event: Classic Restos - Series 30
Classic Restos are at the Classic Vehicle Show n Shine event put on by the Isabella & Marcus Pediatric Brainstem Tumour Fund with all proceeds going to the fund. This despicable tumour occurs in the brainstem most frequently in children between the ages of 5 and 9 and offers no prospect of long term survival and most children die within a year of diagnosis. The only treatment available is radiotherapy, which prolongs life by months only if the tumour is responsive. Brain Tumours are now the leading cause of cancer deaths of children in Australia and DIPG is the most dangerous and least understood. The mission is to fund Australian research into Pediatric Brainstem Tumours with the focus on DIPG. Fletch talks with the lovely people who have attended with their cars to make this day happen, Brian with his 1967 Ford Mustang, Grant’s 1932 Ford Hot Rod, Andrew’s 1971 V8 Charger, Simon’s 1959 Buick Electra 225, Wayne’s 1955 Chevrolet Cameo Pickup Truck and finally Nobby a member of the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club.
