History
This vehicle was found sitting unregistered under a carport in Burwood N.S.W.
It was not until 12 month's later when i looked to see it was still there that the shrub's lining the driveway had been trimmed back which left more of the vehicle visible. It was then that the vehicle was revealed to be the rare sport's version of the Toyota Corona RT40 1600'S'. With factory 1.6 liter engine up from the standard 1.5 liter, factory twin S.U. carburetors, exhaust header's, disc brake's bucket seat's and full instrument dash amongst other feature's.
after meeting with the original owner a deal was done and i was the new owner.
So in march of 2000 i took the Corona home. It sat waiting patiently for the next twelve month's when i undertook a basic restoration and put the vehicle back on the road.
in 2003 due to being unable to use the vehicle i put it into the National Transport Museum intending to get it back in a year or two.
Well twelve and a half years later i went back to collect the vehicle.
the steering, suspension & brakes were fully rebuilt then reconditioning of the cooling system prior to putting it back on the road in 2019.
this vehicle get's regular use and get's comment's everywhere i take.
So much fun in the Corona.
