History
1998 Honda Aero VT1100C3
This bike was built in the USA at Honda’s Marysville Ohio facility. The model was inspired by 1930’s science of aerodynamics. The smooth rounded designs were pioneered on aircraft and applied on cars, trains, appliances and of course motorcycles. Luxury automobiles and motorcycles developed long, low teardrop contours that evoked an air of elegance, comfort and speed.
The Honda Aero is longer and lower than its Shadow A.C.E. family with a host of unique styling touches that immediately distinguish this classic.
It was the first Japanese bike to come out of the factory with a fishtail exhaust and rider floorboards.

After some searching I was lucky to come across this mostly original example in early 2023. In the last 11 years she had done less than a thousand kilometres. With the purchase came a folder containing owner records, maintenance schedule and receipts.
The white wall tyres are the second set from new, fitted in 2008 and the original spoke rims were re-spoked in stainless steel in the same year. I’ve given her a full service; replacing oil, coolant and plugs. I’ve also replaced the factory air filter with a K&N filter and replaced the o-rings on the crossover tube.
And now she’s my weekend ride!
