1992 Ford FAIRMONT GHIA

History

Bought this in 2016 as a daily driver while I was studying and working with about 138k on the clock. Driving about 100km a day around NW Sydney it only took a few years to put 100 thousand Kay's more on it, eating up country roads and dodging roos. Currently at 240 thousand, she still does a lot of Kays mainly on the weekend up and down the coast on roadtrips. Eventually I want it to be a stout but practical/reliable street car, capable of reliably completing drag week while dipping into the low 11s to 10s. There's a fully built SOHC motor in the shop atm capable of 35psi/6500rpm and a fat wishlist for parts to make it happen.. long, long term goals

Modifications

Pacemaker 4499s, 2.5" cat, modified HM Headers exhaust system, upgraded south,
Ralleye style 15 steelies with fat tyres, rolled guards upgraded sound,
Mooneyes accessories, plenty of stickers, Complete Super Pro bushes throughout, Whiteline swaybars front and rear.

Built motor nearly bolted back together after a reco by Darren at Voodoo Engines.
Bored 40 thou, forged CP Pistons, Argo rods, Billet rockers (out of KILA4L) v, big Crow cam (needs to be carded), ported head, stainless valves, everything balanced, oversized studs, racing balancer, dizzy delete to run VCT sensors. A lot of work ahead though, hot and cold side and a drive line full of weak links that needs to be upgraded.
