1935 Ford 5 Window Coupe

History

This vehicle was initially built in 4 months by Brenton for his sons’ primary school Graduation. The vehicle was then driven in Satin Black for a few years before it was stripped for a "repaint". After a 14-year father/son rebuild, this is the end result. It was debut at the Adelaide Auto Expo in 2021. The car is now street driven after finishing its show days and can regularly be seen on the streets of Adelaide.

Modifications

Almost every component on the vehicle is handmade or modified in some way. Highlighted features include:
*Custom PPG Paint called Amber Illusion. This colour features multiple candies and crushed glass. 2500 hours in the paint job alone.
*350 Chev that has been ground smooth and detailed.
*Turbo 400 Transmission, again ground and detailed.
*9-inch rear with custom machined oval stainless steel 4-bars.
*Ground and chromed VE Commodore Brake callipers, Wilwood rotors and custom machined concave rotor hats.
*1-piece front guards, running boards and inner front guards with hidden fasteners.
*3-inch roof chop.
*Custom LED Taillights based on 1937 Ford units.
*Stereo operated by an iPad that is fitted to an under-dash gear drive unit allowing it to raise and lower from the underside of the dash.
*Custom made front bucket seats with integral seat belts.
*Large number of 3D printed components including but not limited to interior trims, air cleaner, thermal fan shroud and water pump cover.
*Custom made self-levelling rim centre caps,
*Electronically actuated boot lid and fuel filler cap,
*Air conditioned with a Rencool electric compressor and Mack Truck condenser, both mounted in the rear of the car.
*Paint Protection Film fitted to the high impact areas as well as to the underside of the car.
