1970 Ford MK2 Cortina GT

History

This GT came to me a rolling wreck, I had to find and replace. 90% of the car. The body was solid but the roof skin needed to be replaced along with the tool well and spare wheel well in the boot. It had its factory paint and stripes when i got it.
Bought in 2017, Finished in September 2019. I don't know any more history of previous owners. Ford Australia say it was one of 17 GT's built in this Yellow Ocher colour. The Cortina was a world car, although this one was built in Australia. Its hard to pop into a category. It would fit in 3 at least...

Modifications

I have gone to great lengths to get this GT as close to factory specs as possible.
I have fitted Globe Sprint master wheels to the car.(I also have the steel wheels and hub caps). The Front seats are from the MK2 Cortina 1600E model. These look almost the same but the recline which is a far better seat than the fixed standard Cortina seat offered in the day. Still period correct for the MK2. All the rest of the car is factory standard.
