1963 Ford Anglia 105E

History

I bought the car as a driving vehicle about six years ago to allow me to go to car events whilst I finished a 1940 Ford hot rod I was building. The hot rod is long gone but the Anglia stayed and became the main interest.
It overheated a couple of times so I took it off the road to fix it. That somehow turned into a full nut and bolt rebuild...

Modifications

The car was already modified when I bought it in the body and interior areas but had a standard engine, suspension and drum brake system.
Externally it has suicide doors, sedan tail lights grafted in, a louvred bonnet, a custom rolled pan at the rear, shaved door handles, modified single piece door and rear side windows.
Inside the interior is all hot rod themed with red vinyl, spider webs and embroidered spiders. Everything has been repainted to Matt red. It has a sixties Mustang air conditioner under the dash and some classic Moon gauges. Speedo has been modified to read 140mph.
Engine is a modified 1600 from a Mk2 Escort. It should make close to 150hp. Gearbox is a Toyota five speed.
Suspension is custom including modified Mk2 Cortina GT front suspension modified further with a coil over spring conversion and brakes are now four wheel discs.
