I have fond childhood memories from the late 1960s of riding around in what must have been the last of the 1950s Leyland Titan double deckers in Sydney. They were green and cream in colour and (correct me if I'm wrong) I think the bodies were made locally by Clyde Engineering at Granville. Many years later I got to drive some of these when I was working for Peter Janson in Melbourne. Pete operated a fleet of double deckers, some locally built and some imported from the UK. Many carried sponsorship signage and were used as mobile corporate suites at various events. The best trip we did was down to Tassie for the Launceston Cup in 1983. What a way to travel!
