When I bought a used van for my book business, a mate knowing my penchant for BMC vehicles said "I bet it's a Morris Messenger or an old J-Van!" I told him it was a Mazda, so the retort was "Not a Bongo!" It was an E-Series from the mid '90s, but in a way he was partly right, as they were called Bongos in Japan. My E2000 was always known as the Bongo until it was euthanised after 360,000 mainly trouble-free kms.
