Not exactly copying, as they're from the same year, but the ideas are similar. 1961 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe and a 1961 Mercury Monterey Convertible on very narrow, wooden piers (or jetties). The Chevy pic was part of the announcement of all the '61 models, while the Mercury was in a Ford corporate book. That pic alone of the blue Impala made me fall in love with them - one of the best looking US cars of all time.
