Hasbeen ~~~~ doing nothing to the suspension on the Fairlady indicates to me that it handled quite respectably on Warwick Farm circuit with standard set-up so it makes sense not to make any radical changes. If the owner was a rookie on the track he would find the limits of adhesion at a safer speed too, and if he was serious about the sport and got to a point where he was lapping faster that would be a choice for him to stiffen spings and fit fatter sway bars (if the Datto had provision). . As for the MX-5 they seem to have a lot going for them, and although they kinda copied Lotus Elan to a degree, I think they are actually bigger, the Elan being a smaller car. (That's what I was told anyway, don't quote me) . When you think back to MG Midget, MGB, Sprite and the Lotus, wouldn't the Mazda be generally more trouble free and cheaper on parts etc., than those others ? Forgive me for saying I'm not impressed with the Oz Capri but mainly because it is Front-Wheel Drive. I hope you had a good run with yours. . The Honda S2000 would be my choice over any of the above-mentioned sports cars too ! . Photos Lotus Elan and Mazda MX-5 (Different models look even more like Lotus)
