Hi Brad, thanks for the kind words. Yep did the resto myself over a period of 3 years after I retired. It is a genuine Cooper S. Great little car which takes me back to when I married in 1968 as I had one just like this back then. In fact went on honeymoon in it Unfortunately it is very very hard to fine a genuine one now and I stress genuine as there are copies out there. one to restore would be near impossible to find. I think they are all hidden away in sheds!!! Prices are now breathtaking - In Australia $30k to $90k. IN UK change the dollar sign to pounds Took it to Britfest at Claremont showground last weekend and after talking to the AutoClassic dealership who had a John Cooper BMW Mini ($62k) on display we were able to park them side by side and get some good piccies.
