Mike Savva teamed up with Herb Taylor for the 1966 Gallaher 500 later that year, driving the only Holden entered (hard to imagine). It was also an HD X2 Premier (below) but appeared to be a different car to the Easter one judging by the different roof colours. In the 500, Savva/Taylor were locked in a fierce battle to win Class D against the Valiant V8s but the X2 engine blew less than half an hour from the finish. They must have been hammering that Premmy pretty hard!
