Holden really tried for the fleet market with the Camira, even before it was released as per this invitation we received at Ampol. Nearly every Holden dealer in Brisbane sent us an invitation to visit their showrooms, much more than any other model or make. Many of us with company cars hesitated before we took the step to downsize into a Commodore after an HZ Kingswood; unlikely we would step even further down into a 1600 cc Camira. Ampol's fleet was evenly based in the early '80s between VC Commodores and XD Falcons (and one CM Valiant!)
