The Volkswagen 411 and 412 or Type 4 looked like enlarged versions of the Type 3. They were not a resounding success (we always hear of British Leyland's woes with the Maxi, these two were on par) and also the front wheel drive K70 they inherited from NSU when they were sinking. The K70 thus became VW's first fwd, but it failed also to light anyone's fire.
