Hi Mike. I would value the new price at $9000. The AMI designers have been innovative and their solutions to keep the cost down are impressive. There are some real 'gems' there. It is unlikely that an AMI would be in my future, but I still like it. As an aside, Tesla has already sold over one million Model 3 and Model Y vehicles combined although Model 3 alone is around the one million mark. In 2020 the Model 3 was the 16th best selling car in the world.
