There are potentially two cars vying for a spot in the recovery ward - one mate of mine just bought what might be the cheapest BA V8 Fairmont in the country (we are heading off on Thursday to pick it up) and the other potential is a Variety bash car that may/may not need a new engine. I personally think I might try a motorbike next but the idea of picking up a really tired Landcruiser 80 series is bizarrely appealing to me at the moment. We'll get the Fairmunts out of the way first. Edit: got new lines back and got an unexpected delivery of hoses from Rock Auto. Those were $4 each. Not 100% sure they are ok for Australian standards so will go with the custom made ones and keep the others as spares until I work out whether they are legal or not. I do like the springs around the rubber. edit 2: Both hoses are marked SAE 1401 so they are identical. Will still use the custom ones since the guy doing the inspection made them and he might get upset if I don't use his.
