Well, the hail repair technique isn’t perfect and has a couple of important limitations. Firstly if your clear coat is compromised it will lift it straight off. Second, it’s extremely hard to get a completely perfect repair on aluminium panels, steel seems to be easier. Not sure why. As a partial rescue it’s pretty good. It won’t match a professional repair, but for my purposes the bonnet no longer looks like the surface of the moon. The roof I haven’t finished yet but there were some gnarly dents that you now have to look very hard to see. For really stubborn dents it’s probably easier just to leave them as it’s possible to stretch the metal out the wrong way. I’m OK with it.
