As for left field suggestions that the new Corvette could ever wear a Holden badge, well, it has already done so, in a fashion ... When the mid-engined Corvette configuration was conceived, the first running test-bed prototype - Blackjack, built in 2013 - possessed more than a hint of GM Holden presence ... In the final design wash, I can't help but compare C8 Corvette to the current Honda NSX (pictured in 'Thermal Orange' below), both coincidentally creations of US studios. Of course, with the Honda retailing here at AU$420K, it's not surprising that barely more than a handful of hybrid NSX have found their way onto Australian roads.
