Yes there is a Tassie-based one (replica?) that runs on the historic rally scene, it took fourth in the Alpine Rally last year I think which is very impressive. (photo from Rally Sport magazine). Dr John - well aware BMW's are arguably overpriced here, too bad something like the Nissan IDX didn't get built as a more real-world alternative.
