The AU Ford show car you mention was one of three AU two-doors built by Hillier Conversions. Troy and Clayton Hillier's first example was originally based on an AU Forte six, which was repurposed as Ford's '300+' V8 show car (left). The second was a customer car for Mark Rovera, which was also red but based on an AU XR8 (centre). The third and final one was Troy's personal car called the Arrow (right), which I think he still owns.
