That's right madmuz. Brock was chosen to spearhead the Victorian government's new road safety initiative in 1975 headlined by the new lower blood alcohol limit of .05. He actually used that as his racing number in his first race as the figurehead for the campaign in the 1975 Sandown 400 (see image below) but CAMS said he would have to drop the '.' point before the 05 as it wasn't allowed to be used as part of a racing number. Hence 05 eventually became the new permanent Brock number. I'm so glad they decided to archive it after his death so that no other driver could use it. A true mark of respect and a good example of what I'm talking about with the significance of racing numbers.
