It is amazing that Norm Beechey only had a 9 year career in the Australian touring car championship debuting in 1963, winning two Australian touring car championships and winning one in a HT Monaro GTS 350 which was the first Australian car to win the ATCC in 1970 and he retired in 1972. For such a short career, it was an amazing one. Stormin Norman was inducted in the V8 Supercars hall of fame in 2000.
