Only 1,858 copies of the 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300SL were ever built, and today, one of them is looking for a new home. Over the many years and generations of the Mercedes SL, this flagship roadster launched a long list of innovations that all started with the original - which the current AMG SL tries to emulate in many a way. Introduced in 1957, the 300SL has long been an icon of the Mercedes brand, creating a technological gene pool of Mercedes-Benz’s latest engineering, and wrapping it in a luxury roadster package.
