I was interesting to see this post as I have been restoring a 1946 vintage caravan. I am not a caravan fan but I had to rescue this beauty and bring it back. It is a Carapark made in Newcastle. The company used to make aeroplane parts during the war and turned their skills to caravans after the war. A well built van with gal roll sheet and steel chassis. Solid but light. I hope to have it rolling this year. My XP coupe with a 5Lt Windsor and power disc brakes should make a perfect tow vehicle... I found a photo of the van in QLD in 1960.
