Fletch, firstly, thanks for this episode, it rattled my memory bank ! I may be a Ford man, but I am dinkum Aussie as well and have had both FE and FC Holdens, and they are great solid cars, love 'em. . Hey Blinkie I drove cabs too, way back, HD, HR and HQ (Hated the HQ "Traumatic" Auto) but the earlier 186 three on tree, and a Powerglide were easy to drive. .. Photo below is of the FE Wagon that brought all my Music Gear (and half a house lot of stuff) back from Melbourne to Brisbane back in 1974. The poor old girl had a huge load but was trouble free ! (with a few funny stories of the trip)
