I agree Ricky, those local Taurus models were good cars and had a unique Aussie spec. They were basically drive and forget. I knew of several that were used to cover phenomenal distances between farms or businesses and each owner raved about the economy, long life and reliability. I remember testing them in several magazine comparisons and compared to rival big Japanese front drive models, they were in a class of their own once you got past the looks and the heat exposure and reflections generated by the glass angles combined with the harsh Aussie sun.
I had 2 of the '96 RHD Aussie model--magnificent cars. I have a 3 volume set of the Ford Australia shop manuals in brand new condition. I kept them in case I bought another, but never did. I'm happy to offer them for sale at $150. Ricky
