I rate them both highly, because they were designed to suit specific markets which had different requirements. If I had to choose I'd always go Aussie because I think they were built to withstand far more rugged treatment over rural and outback roads which your average American ute owner would struggle to comprehend. Evidence of that can be seen in the shorter front and rear overhangs and higher ride heights of Aussie utes compared to US models. My pick of the bunch? Definitely the XA-XC Falcon utes of the 1970s.
