I had plans to drive from Brisbane to the west of Victoria, so got new tyres for the VF Commodore as well as getting it serviced. Then I saw this pic of an HJ Holden in a frustrating effort to get though the build up traffic on our major highways. It was in an ad for TAA Airlines. For those under the age of about 55, it was Trans Australian Airlines, and they got swallowed up by Qantas. I did the sums, and am now flying and renting a car. Cheaper and less strain for all concerned and the risk of nodding off on the Newell has been lessened. The most expensive part of going away is putting the dog in kennels....
