Mike72, there was an optional cassette player in the HQ and even niceties such as four speakers and a power antenna. I was a child when the HQ was released. The thumbwheel radio looked so stylish to me at the time and left a lasting impression, hence the necessity to have one in my project car. Regarding the motor, I do have urges occasionally to drop in a V8 but I suppress them as the straight six is simple, rugged and becoming uncommon. Also, as you show, it can be visually appealing. It also means that I do not have to upgrade the remainder of the driveline. It suits the 'grandfather' look that I am aiming for. Hopefully my engine bay can look even half as good as yours.
