Yes gents, we sadly lose another motorsport legend of our time. I always found it fitting that George so faultlessly masterminded Holden's crushing victory in the 1979 Repco Round Australia Trial, given his father Reg Shepheard was the brains behind the famous fuel additive that backed the Redex Trials in the 1950s. As freeway says, George was also a brilliant navigator who played a key role in Colin Bond's multiple Australian Rally Championship titles in XU-1s. Plus he worked for Dick Johnson during the Group C touring car era, assisted Mitsubishi with its Group A program, was a key player in the success of Bond Roll Bars and numerous other achievements. What a legacy! A job well done George and a life well lived. RIP.
