The corner leading on to the straight at Oran Park ( Recaro ) used to be called Energol. A great place to spectate - cars would come over the rise from the dogleg, down the dip then up into the left-hand Energol. From the flag point on the entry ( top left photo 1 ), you could look into the drivers' visor and watch their eyes go wide open. The noise off the concrete wall was glorious. I posted some mid-60s tintop photos from there a while back - here are some of them again.
