These pics may illustrate DAF's Variomatic from the '50s and '60s. I drove a few new ones in the early 1970s and they were almost too simple. A great car, beautifully made in the land of tulips and windmills - Holland's lack of hills was perfect for DAFs and pushbikes. I remember too that they acquitted themselves quite well in the 1968 London-Sydney Marathon.
