Ditched the dinky bar end mirrors for some old school chrome ones. The bar end mirrors didn't show anything useful behind me which was making me a bit nervous. New mirrors were pretty cheap on Ebay (like $20) but seem decent quality, don't vibrate too much and have a much wider field of view. A quick ride today to test them out showed they worked really well. I went and rode in some traffic before heading out to the quieter country lanes and felt more confident keeping up with the flow. At least one car pulled up to an intersection to my left much too fast and I thought for a moment he wasn't going to stop but he did. It can feel pretty vulnerable riding a motorcycle.
