Hatchbacks were certainly in demand back then. Also forgotten is the R30 Nissan Skyline Hatchback from the early '80s. I had a pale green '83 model. Nissan's beaut 2.4 litre 6 ( 240Z ) motor mated to a smooth manual 5-speed box - a really good drive. Haven't seen one in years.
