I made a start on getting the horns ready. I have a set of Fiamm trumpets but in addition will install the standard horns. My car had an aftermarket Bosch unit. Over the last three years I collected a boxful of HQ-HZ horns. I wanted the tri-package comprising the standard low tone, optional high tone and NASCO accessory ultra high tone horns. They were made in Australia by RVB. Due to the location of the carbon fuel vapour canister and a radiator overflow reservoir, the mounting may not be in the original spot. I was originally going to leave the horns in their original patina but I decided that the heavy old cast metal horns deserve to be glorified. The left most horn(not being used) is in its original paint, the next along(low tone) is stripped and the third(high tone) is on the way to being polished. My current thoughts are to polish them up and spray them in VHT high temperature clear paint. If they do not come up well, I will paint them. I was thinking silver. What do others think? The small horn is an ultra high tone.
