When I was much younger, my Alfetta GTV threw the timing chain so I parked it up for repairs and went looking for a 2nd hand daily driver. I drove two cars that surprised me, the original Suzuki Swift GTi and a Honda CRX. The Honda was amazing. Revved to the moon, great interior that felt downright exotic and fantastic handling. The styling with the window at the rear of the tailgate was pretty exotic too. Pity it was too much money for me at that time as they are now collectors cars. The Swift GTi was half the price, sounded like a horde of angry bees and while not as swift (ha ha) as the CRX was a barrel of laughs in an entirely different way. I didn't expect to like either of them, but I bought the Swift and greatly enjoyed it for a couple of years.
