Here are three Australian 'tail-lifts' designed to keep up with fashion for fins. We've seen Chrysler's showing with the 1959 AP2 Royal with the added on fin-upon-fin' idea. It lasted only a bit over a year. BMC used clever application of chrome trim and colours to give a visual lift to the Morris Major. Standard just bolted a separate piece of metal to the rear of the Phase III Vanguard Spacemaster, in the same manner that GMH used with the FC Holden. The Holden's fin looked professional, the Vanguard's not.... Like the Royal, it lasted only a year.
