Skylark I agree totally about the straight line racing in those laps, and the big Buick would probably embarrass them if you gave it a run. (lil Red Pony handles okay too) This is why I didn't go to the fence behind pits to watch them entering Hungry, the corner that would have brought a few of those lads undone ! They only idled round the corner getting ready for the straight. I suppose it was better than them doing illegal street racing, and gave them a chance to see if their engines would blow up or not. Your mate's VE sounded sweet actually, hope he gets it prepared to his satisfaction. I felt sorry for that bloke who had that Full Blown racing Ute thing, did you see it ? (didn't see the make), he had to come in after only two laps, with No Oil Pressure ! oh dear ...... I put a comment and photo in the Bathurst thread showing the new ZB Commodore that Whincup will be racing next weekend in Clipsal 500. It has NO BOOT ! Check out the photo !
