Oh yes indeed Tony-F! I can understand why collectors are prepared to pay top dollar for this icon. I think the name is a significant factor in its appeal, because it always creates a compelling image (in my mind at least) of cruising the coastal roads of sunny California in the 1960s. The unprecedented sales success of the 250GT generation was pivotal in Ferrari history.
