... The limited edition FPV Boss 302 Cobra was a marvellous tribute/homage to the original and look at the difference in acceptance!!! Back to the GT-F, if you are going to pay homage to the original GT 351 heritage there are many clearly identifiable cues some of which must be present. These include: SuperRoo decals, full length modern interpretation of XW or XY GT side stripes, shaker or scoop, bonnet pins, fuel cap, 12-slot wheels or period-looking wheel with centre caps, blacked-out rear section, black bonnet rally panels, separate driving lights or similar effect, traditional interior trim highlights or effects, key period colour and stripe combinations, GT 351 badges and others. Most of these are not easily transferred for a one-off edition under today's ADRs which makes it more important that the ones that can be applied are there. If they are not, then Ford deserves all the flack that will surely come its way. And, am I the only one that thinks that the GT-F badging looks like a GT-P badge with a nick taken out of it?
Yes ... well ... I can say with reasonable certainty that you won't see any of the signature exterior items referred to above by Joe ... the closest you will come to a glint of the past with the GT F will relate to a feature of the rear deck spoiler. As to the badging, you only need cast your mind back a little ways ...
