My 2005 Land Rover Discovery 3 was and remains an excellent cruiser. The syrupy 4.4L V8 is very quiet when cruising, road noise is suppressed and the air suspension gives a magic carpet ride as well as keeping the car level, even when laden with passengers and luggage.
