Today I removed and dismantled the front suspension and steering components. A dirty and greasy job. The steering idler arm attachment to the steering connecting rod has been a little stubborn and I will get back to that. The upper control arms were wobbly due to very worn Nalothane bushes and the lower control arms very stiff. I will scout around the internet and the workshop manual for tips and tricks on removing these bushings. Madmuz, if you have any pearls of wisdom I am receptive. Three things that I stuck in my mind are: 1. My long breaker bar was one of the best tool purchases ever. 2. I would not want to be doing all of this with the body on the car. Access without the body is so much easier. 3. Even taking into account my inefficiencies, if I had to pay someone to do all the work that I have done to date, the project would be way over-capitalised.
